Lynn Swann plays beer pong
Steelers legend Lynn Swann was campaigning to be Pennsylvania’s governor at an Eagles/Steelers preseason game when a fan asked him to try and sink a beer pong shot. Did Lynn Swann back down? Absolutely not. He took the ball, lined his shot up and sank it his first try. The crowd cheered and the flashbulbs went crazy. Any politician well versed in beer pong is cool with me - too bad he didn’t win.

You, the players, truly make beer pong what it is - why not reward that?
Send me anything. Stories of a crazy beer pong game, pictures of your beer pong setup (the room, the table, etc), any tips you’d like to share or the rules you play with at your respective location. I’ll put your name with it and link back to a homepage or website if you have one. If you don’t, I can give you some space for text if you’d like to dedicate a shoutout to someone. I’ll also be running a contest or two within the next few weeks and contributing will make you eligible!

I finished up the rules. Okay, so here’s the deal. Email me the rules you play with to:

I will then post them either on the rules page itself or link to it from the rules page. Tell me what college you go to (or where you’re from) and if you want, hey, send some beer pong pictures if you have any. I’m going to start a picture gallery here within the next few days.
Making progress
I’m not completely finished with the beer pong rules yet, but I’ve started them (click the “Rules” link up at the top of the page). At this point, what I think I’m going to do is make one giant rules page and then create pages with more specific rules to link from that. I’m going to need some help figuring out all the different rule sets everyone plays with - I know how I play isn’t necessarily the way everyone else does. So depending on where you live or what college you go to, we’ll label the rules as, say, “IUP Beer Pong” just to give an example

Welcome to I Love Beer Pong!
I hope this site can eventually become one of the web’s best for beer pong information. As a current college student, I encounter the game of beer pong a lot (as you’d probably guess). One thing I have noticed - rules differ everywhere you go. I’m going to do my best to post a generic rule set but would appreciate it if you’d all help me out! Email or IM me (aim: shafa20) the rules that you play with and where you’re from and I’ll feature them in the Rules section.
